Barton J. Romanek, MD
Dr. Romanek completed his undergraduate studies in Zoology at the University of Toronto in Canada, receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1972. Following that, he completed his Medical Degree at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and his specialty training in family medicine at the McMaster University Medical Center in 1977, becoming board certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada. He is recognized as a Fellow of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is a current member in good standing of the Hays, Caldwell, Blanco County Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the College of Family Physicians of Canada. He was named Caldwell County's 2013 Best Physician in the Lockhart Post Register Readers' Choice Awards. Dr. Romanek is also a proud father and grandfather. He and his wife Peggy have resided in Lockhart since 1978 where his practice continues to grow based on the goodwill of present and former patients and his attempt to provide prompt, personal, and quality care.
Kimberly M. Wheeler, MD
Dr. Wheeler joined Lockhart Family Medicine in 2006. She completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M University graduating Summa Cum Laude. She then received her Medical Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center Medical School in San Antonio graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. Dr. Wheeler completed her residency training at Christus Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency Program in San Antonio and is board certified as a Diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine. She is an active member of the Hays, Caldwell, Blanco County Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association, and the American Academy of Family Physicians. She and her husband Russell reside in Lockhart with their two daughters where she desires to grow her practice by providing excellent medical care to the community.

Mariya Bobrovnyk, P.A.-C
Mariya joined Lockhart Family Medicine in October 2016. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology at Texas A&M University and then received her Master of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Mariya is licensed by the Texas Medical Board and Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Mariya enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, cooking and learning about different cultures. She is excited to be a part of the healthcare team at Lockhart Family Medicine and looks forward to helping patients through compassionate care for all of their health needs.
